He’s mentored more than 10 coaches, helping them to improve their coaching skills, ability and style. He’s currently coaching many elite junior players.

“I strongly believe in tennis programs that provide opportunities for all players from schools to community to club players to performance level players at all ages and stages of their development. My coaching methodology is to ensure sound stroke fundamentals in all players as early as possible. The earlier the greater the chance they have of staying tactically ‘open’ and of developing a game style, based around technical strengths, that will continue to develop as each player does.
“I love coaching as I get to help people stay healthy and develop new skills.” Gabriel grew up in a tennis family. “My sister and father inspired me to work in tennis. I have been training in a variety of sports since I was 12 so have solid experience in competition,” he says. Gabriel moved to Sydney 6 years ago to get involved in developing players and in that time completed the Junior Development Course (TA) and gained qualification in Certificate 4 in Sports Coaching, Diploma of Sports, including qualification in Sports Physiology. Gabriel also participated in various workshops with Tennis Australia.
Kadjann began playing tennis at the age of 6 and has started coaching at the age of 16. Ella first picked up a racquet at a very young age. “I’ve been playing tennis since I was 4. Growing up, I played a range of sports, but tennis was the one that just stuck. I began coaching when I was 16 and since then, have continued to develop a love of the game, in particular introducing young children to the sport as well as developing players at all levels and watching them progress.” Asked about her qualifications, Ella says “I completed the Junior Development Course (TA) in 2020, which has provided me with the knowledge and skills to motivate the students I teach to achieve their best. I work hard not only to coach my students, but to develop a relationship with them and help them reach their potential.”
“I’ve been playing tennis since I was six, and love how the sport combines athleticism with strategy, Dominic explains. “I got into coaching because I wanted to share my passion for the game; I find it especially rewarding to see the joy and freedom on a student’s face when they make a breakthrough on a shot they’ve been struggling with.
Zaki is very popular with our little budding tennis stars. His way of engaging the little ones assists them to develop love for the game from a very young age. “I got involved with tennis at the age of 9 and have enjoyed the sport ever since. I started my coaching journey through helping out at holiday camps and then further participating in Tennis Australia community coaching course. Through this, I have developed a passion for seeing students learn and enjoy the sport. I enjoy working with kids particularly in an engaging and fun learning environment that is all around rewarding and always exciting.
